Connecticut-born Jaybee was brought up listening to the diverse sounds of Jazz & Pop, with deep roots in Hip Hop, Reggae and Dance Hall. Inspired by his father (who was a radio DJ), he developed an early fascination for music videos and radio shows. At age 13, he was introduced to a pair of turntables—and with influences like KRS 1, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, and Buju—began a lifelong journey into mixing and music production.  

A few years later, he was intrigued by a friend’s techno compilation “Hit the Decks” Megamix tape series, and branched out into absorbing more electronic music genres like Breakbeats. He was introduced to jungle at his first Digital Konfusion Jungle Party with DJ ODI, who mixed two copies of “Terrorist,” which further piqued his interest on the decks. Coming from a turntablist background, he realized that it was possible to blend his Hip Hop mixing skills into Jungle music, zeroing in on his own style incorporating dope beats with tight scratches. Working closely with other prominent artists in the industry, Jaybee has been collaborating regionally with producers like Random Movement, Dave Owen, Grimm, and Sinistarr. He has played in a majority of the states and festivals like WMC; as well as overseas in Europe, including performing at the Mac II label showcase at Sun N Bass. 

Jaybee’s music has received support by the likes of DJ Randall, Bryan Gee, DJ Marky, Calibre, Grooverider, DJ Storm, dBridge, LTJ Bukem, DJ Vapour, A-Sides, PFM, Trex, Physics, and Random Movement among others.

Now residing in Virginia, Jaybee has gone from strength to strength and is a fixture in the stateside drum and bass scene. With releases on Mac II, V Recordings, Liquid V, Chronic, GoodLooking, Innerground, Rubik and many others, he’s more than established a solid foundation as a key American drum and bass producer. In the concrete jungle Brisbane, Reegze is known for his adaptiveness when it comes to niche genres of underground music including Dubstep, Halftime & Jungle/Dnb.

First influenced in 2015 by underground music festivals such as Tropical Bloom, Mushroom Valley and Happy Daze Reegze has found himself behind the decks at handful of Festivals/Raves such as Earth Frequency, Archaic Gathering, Spring Campout, Swampy Conscience & Renegade Playground.

As he followed the DNB to BNE in 2019 he has consistently developed a wide range of experience from DJing across South East Queensland and supporting the likes of S.P.Y, General Levy, DJ Hybrid, Whiney, Mrs Magoo, P Money, Unglued, The Upbeats, Delta Heavy, and Zombie Cats just to name his favorites.

Fast forward to now Reegze is continuing to find ways to improve and diversify his tune selections alongside sharing his addiction to bass music.

I’ve performed, recorded in almost every style and Genre, established as an entertainer and collaborator. I am not attempting to establish myself in more professional sense and release some old cuts from the vault, unreleased. I started off promoting events, PR, parties and followed my innate ability to contribute, in any way I can provide. 

I Have historical roots in hip-hop (see mcdonalds beat box via youtube - if its still up - see the stein's / bergs if you want that heat - they got all my golden year stuff) but I still am working on new mixes, looking forward to actually fulfilling my dream of touring. and solitifying myself into music with only one alias, LOL

 mostly serving as a lyricist, Vocalist/ master-editor/producer/composer independently, and mainstream features as well. I always seek ways of continuously providing new ways to make music and will share my music with the world, only this time not as a joke or through the tangible hands of raider/wildcat thievery. as notated through contribution to electronic music, i created some funky new wave circa 2010 onward. I am proud to have friends, near and far, who actually want the best be an I always will have a desire to continue performing rock tunes, as words in conversation are easily expressed via rhythm / lead guitar. 

I have been in the game for 25+ years, and looking to emerge from the Underground scene and make a name for myself.
