After 2 years, the SUB:MERGED mix series is back with a bang 💥 This time round we’ve invited none other than RK Bass Records head honcho, the mighty Jungalice to showcase her sound. We’ve been sitting on this one a while, ready to lift your spirits in this change of seasons.

Some words from the queen herself:

“So I actually recorded this mix back in February (Sloejoe living up to his name…) and I thought it would really suit SUB:MERGED because it’s a bit more of an exploration into the newer but more heavily breakbeat focussed sound of hardcore & jungle. Building from 150bpm gave me some scope to be a bit more adventurous and feature a few more acidic over tones that have been emerging in the scene over the last few years while also rinsing out some proper heavy amens and big basslines.

I’ve chosen these cause I think they’re great examples of pushing the boundaries within breakbeat and being a bit weird, wonderful and wickedly wobbly, in true Cobra Sound fashion.”

Unity Underground have been throwing some absolutely wicked Jungle and Drum & Bass parties over the last year or so and in that time we’ve grown to be one of the top parties in the city. To mark a year of activity we’re stepping things up in a big way to deliver a huge lineup across FORGE’s Main Room and Workroom spaces. Some of the best DJ's and MC's in the scene have played at Unity over the last 12 months, artists like Mantra, Equinox, Digital, Dead Man's Chest, MC Chickaboo, MC Gusto to name a few.
