◍ What is the inspiration and vision behind your work as Nexcyia?
✹ The Nexcyia project has always been focused on experimental/ambient music. I think the inspiration and vision changes seasonally! I have moments where I focus on themes of alienation, loneliness and vulnerability and then I have points in time where my compositions are bit more free-flowing and minimal almost with a more illbient / dubby side. I’ve been adding more beats recently but currently feel like recording relaxed soundscapes for reading, walking, chilling and cooking.

◍ Describe some of your utopian dreams for us *･ﾟ:⋆*･ﾟ
✹ Well this is an interesting question because between 2015-2017 I had an obsession with “Astral Projections” and/or “Outer Body Experiences, (OBE)” I did some crazy research and was able to initiate these experiences! I think the most intense one was of me flying around my room and trying to break-out of my window! lol

◍ Any exciting things coming up that you’d like to share?
✹ Couple cool things coming up! I’m starting 3-month Residency at Noods Radio end of August - in September got 4 shows! 3 in London and one in Oslo, Norway. I’ve never been to Norway so i’m super excited.

E-Clip and Stole (our program guy and longtime head in the psy game) sat down, listened through everything, and handpicked a bunch of tracks that captured the spirit of our two stages – Kolo and Tok.

This is a re-release of the original demo, taking into great consideration and carefully following the community feedback I ended up changing the whole structure of the track in less than 24 hours. It wasn’t the plan at all, but after receiving feedbacks and comments, I actually stopped and really listened in a different way. And honestly, some of the feedback made me see things I hadn’t noticed on my own. There were just too many ideas, too many layers… maybe I was trying to say everything all at once. So I started stripping things down, making space. I kept only what truly mattered — and even though a lot has changed, the atmosphere and the narrative built around Lauren Bacall’s voice are still there.
Now I feel like the track breathes better. Huge thanks to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts with me. Always open to new suggestions and opinions.

Questo è una riedizione della demo originale. In meno di 24 ore ho cambiato completamente la struttura del pezzo. Dopo aver ricevuto diversi feedback, mi sono fermato ad ascoltare da un nuovo punto di vista. E devo dire che certe critiche mi hanno fatto vedere cose che da solo non riuscivo a notare. C’erano troppe idee, troppi livelli... forse stavo cercando di dire troppo tutto insieme. Così ho iniziato a togliere, a fare spazio. Ho lasciato solo ciò che davvero serviva — l’atmosfera, la narrazione legata alla voce di Lauren Bacall, quella è rimasta lì, uguale. Sento che adesso il pezzo respira meglio. E mi ci ritrovo ancora di più.
Davvero, grazie a chi ha avuto la pazienza e la voglia di dirmi la sua.
