No Matter

I've tried to capture the building tension and heart racing fear towards the end of the Ann Leckie's "Ancillary Justice". It involves a space shuttle, an airlock, an oxygen tank, a hero and two "baddies" trying to get in.  I didn't find it easy but I enjoyed the effort! 
The guitar parts were played on a Duesenberg Paloma through a modern metal amp using vintage style tube distortion and echo delay. The bass was played on a Fender Jazz Bass, relatively clean...

The September 2022 DIAMC prompt was to write a song based on the imagery and interpretation of a Tarot card with extra cool points for those  picking a Minor Arcana card and not using the standard Rider-Waite deck. Using a random online picker I was given the Queen of Cups. I cheated a bit with imagery - this was created using DALL.E (AI software which creates images from text prompts). 

I wrote a simple folk tune - just vocals and my bodhran from the below interpretation.

"Traditionally representing the energy of a Queen, this card portrays a sensitive, vulnerable, omniscient woman who offers unconditional love. She is supremely empathic - sometimes to a fault. Her caring nature exposes her to everybody else's emotions and needs."
