After introducing Shiba San to the world with the breakout hit “Okay” last year, France’s newest house phenomenon, Shiba San returns to Dirtybird for the first official single of 2015. 

Shiba San has a deep background in hip hop and a penchant for ghetto sounds.  He's already headlining clubs and festivals around Europe and the US and is all set to have another monumental year. 

Up first is title track ‘Planet Floor’, which marries big bass stabs and clever effects to a sliding groove that cannot fail to engage your behind. Vocal cries and trippy melodies add to the drama, as does clever filtering that brings the drums in and out in engaging fashion. This one is another dance floor hit, make no mistake. 

‘Show Me, Show Me’ on the flip  is a dirty, sleazy house cut with a wobbling bottom end, crisp claps and hi hats. Exploding and imploding at whim, with nerve jangling keys loud in the mix and that rasping baseline never far from the ear. This is another club rocket. 

Pleasingly sordid, sweaty and seductive, this new Shiba San release confirms, without doubt, that he's definitely got game!

i hope u all enjoy my new track.. i shot a video in a warehouse in downtown LA 2 days after i arrived over a year ago but the footage came out unusable. i always felt like i owed it to that place to finish the job. so we went back down there and re shot these scenes.  didnt want to shoot a professional dance routine or choreography, i wanted to shoot how normal people feel and move.. i wanted it to be natural..  music i hope you like my new video and track. Echoing the excitement that surrounded his No.1 hit My Love, which shot him to stardom, the record has been in serious demand for months. Rowan Jones aka Route 94 explains how he wanted to “put out three tracks that were diverse yet definitive.” Title track House & Pressure packs a real punch and contains the vocals from Joey Negro's classic Ride the Storm featuring Linda Clifford. The dominant female vocal on ‘House & Pressure’ combined with the force of the drum machines is a traditional element that people connect to the Route 94 productions. With ‘Crazy Bitch’ it’s a more of a big room sound, incorporating ghetto elements. ‘Dark Keyless’ is the complete opposite, creating a groove that aims to grab the crowd and let them loose.

This year has seen a succession of big releases and remixes from Route 94 that cement his place amongst the dance music elite including the recent hit Mind, Body & Soul on Crosstown Rebels. The talented producer first saw fame reaching No.1 in the UK charts with My Love featuring Jess Glynne. Keen to remain on the underground scene, he followed with releases and remixes on Leftroom, Defected and Hot Creations. Overwhelming success followed as he performed at the likes of fabric, Sub Club, Space, Ushuaia, DC10 and many more. With a wealth of new material still on the way and a hectic touring schedule in place, it’s clear this is only the start for the young artist.
