Folklorist Brandon Weston joins us to discuss his book “Ozark Folk Magic” and the extensive research he has undertaken to explore this rich tradition and history. Brandon himself is an Ozark healer, herbalist, and spirit medium and is the owner and operator of Mountain Man Healing, and is an active blogger on Ozark magic and medicine. He also gives lectures and native plant walks throughout Arkansas and Missouri and workshops. Brandon is a wealth of information on the subject. It was really fascinating exploring this world, especially regarding the paranormal and how ghosts and spirits of the dead are perceived.
