Mutate Podcast #004 / Barry Greaves

The Mutate Podcast series is curated by Jay Carroll, founder of Mutate Events Dublin, Ireland. Avid record collector, Dj/host of the Mutate Radio show on Europe's number 1 online radio station, DDR-Dublin Digital Radio. Through the bi-weekly show (Every 2nd Thursday from 10pm GMT) & through our events (pre pandemic!) we strive to give a platform to the best in break through Irish talent and & to international talent who we respect/admire. Every show is downloadable to play on the move or to stream while on the go so don't hold back. Play it loud.

VODER RECORDS, created in Philadelphia circa 2011 as a platform for creativity and a space of possibility for the the Philly electronic music scene. 2017 will mark the emergence of the label,  now untethered from its home base and more attuned to the ever emerging, global electronic underground.

Our intentions include: Experimenting with established aesthetic conventions to produce fresh intersections between differing scenes and promote underground solidarity;

Discussing, building, and celebrating alternatives to current oppressive systems that are at conflict with our goals of providing the proper space for proper creativity for individuals and collectives.

Facilitating an exchange of creative resources among artists from those with ability to those with need;

Concentrate effort toward the well-being of society at large thru thoughtful communication of what we each believe to be ultimate balance and symmetry.

Doug Cooney is a long-standing contributor to Ireland’s techno scene. Early on, he was influenced by artists such as Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, James Ruskin, Steve Rachmad, Reeko, BMB, Surgeon, and Exium. 
He is a founding member of RLSD Records, a label that has consistently supported forward-thinking techno. Alongside his output as a producer and DJ, Doug teaches at Bray Institute of Further Education, helping to support and develop the next generation of Irish techno artists.
Doug’s productions have received support from respected names like Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Luke Slater, and Rødhåd. He has worked with Aiken, Binny, Lee Holman and Jon Hester, who have remixed his tracks. Doug also regularly features on Dave Clarke’s White Noise radio show on 2fm, showcasing his unreleased music.
