DIVISION Mix Series

I'm beyond thrilled to be able to present episode 005 of my mix series 'DIVISION'! This mix features a lot of new music that's been the sound track to my life as the seasons have changed. Spring is in the air and change is coming. This selection is a bit of a mix bag, while listening you will notice a few changes in feel and a few left turns but what can I say, I like what I like.. :)

The artwork for this mix is titled "Cottage" and it created by one of my best friends, Coblou. She's been an inspiration in my world for many years so it was a great honour to have her work included for this edition of 'DIVISION'. When I look at this piece, I imagine dancing under the summer sky and completely letting go. It sounds silly to some but dancing in the company of friends is something I miss dearly. Until then, hopefully this mix will encourage you to make some time to get lost in a dance and to connect with your body and elevate your state of being.

DIVISION 005

It's been way too long since I put out a mix for this series that is near and dear to my heart. To say it's been a difficult year would be a great understatement but I'm thankful for every second of it. The track selection for episode 006 of this series is intended to empower and uplift those who listen. It's also 02, 22, 22 which doesn't happen often in ones lifetime so why not release a mix to celebrate the occasion?

DIVISION 003

If you're reading this, congrats! We made it through 2020. I couldn't think of a better way of celebrating this occasion other than sharing some of the music that has been near and dear to me ranging from 2010 - 2020. It was a hard year in many ways but it also acted as a reminder for me to smell the roses and to acknowledge that I've been blessed to have a supportive community of friends in Ottawa and beyond who inspire me to the moon and back.

The artwork for this mix was created by multimedia artist, Christallalla. It's a mixed media illustration titled "s w I m m" and it really captures the feeling of what I was trying to convey with this selection of songs.
