My Soul Hurts Every Day is a record born out of grit, truth, and a longing for something better. It’s a blues-funk-gospel fusion album that stares hard at the world as it is, while refusing to stop dreaming of what it could be. I've been really enjoying this group lately as they have a nice afro-funk feel to their wide variety of covers & originals. This tune is something near and dear to my heart as one of the first funk pieces I heard & loved, and I think they did a fabulous job covering it!
