Before she became Black Velveteen,
Chris Offutt was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. Her parents introduced her to a wide range of music; Motown to Mozart and everything in between. Some frequently featured artists in young Chris’s house were Aretha Franklin, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder and James Taylor. Current influences include Chris Fortier, Amonita, Wilma, Nora En Pure, Tayllor, Andre Lodemann, Bedouin, and Matt Sawyer to name a few.

From a very young age she dreamed of hosting her own radio show. In 2011 that dream became when she had her own show “ Progressions in House” on FNOOB based out of London.
Chris enjoyed DJing around the San Francisco Bay Area from 2012-2019 . In 2012 she became the resident DJ and musical director at Aloft Hotel SFO. In 2013 Djing in the Pride Parade on the W Hotel float. In 2015 she was asked to perform on the Tantra Stage for Pride in San Francisco. She was in rotation at The End Up and did guest spots and Monarch, The Great Northern and Wish. In 2016 Chris was asked to join AirPusher Collective. She has also done guest mixes for FriskyRadio, Proton Radio and Elastic Beatz, Innerflight, Space Medicine and more. She currently enjoys residencies at Caravan, Reflect and is coproducer and resident at Habitat Seattle Velveteen's style and sound is indescribable as she reaches for sounds and music that turn her listeners on to a new experience.

> BIO. David Ricardo is an italian Producer/DJ and musician, who moved to the UK after the mentorship in 2013 by the today’s founder & owner of Circoloco /DC10 Antonio Carbonaro. David started his career from the underground side of dance music with releases on some of the most prestigious labels in the Industry, such as TOOLROOM Records, CR2, CUFF, ABODE Records, and appearance on major International stages such as the Steel Yard in London and frequent guests on Mambo’s Brothers CAFE MAMBO Radio (IBIZA). 
In 2019 he literally smashed the Beatport charts with a #5 and #3 for his collaboration records “TONITE” and “TRIPPIN” on both of the most respected and influential Beatport charts  : Beatport Hype top 100 / Beatport Top 100 Releases. 
The encounter with EDM super star Bass Kleph in 2019 at the Amsterdam Dance Event was that crucial for David that after finishing the LA Music Production Academy ‘The Road To The Main Stage’, he decided to take on a music project called ‘GARDEN’, which brings together Hip-Hop, R&B, Afro-Beat, Latin, Caribbean flavours into one style who David defines as ‘Pop Moombahton’. Its a celebration of each style & genre, creating a bridge between its more traditional origins while also exploring remixes, fusions and new sounds. Joining together to promote diversity within the music community and embrace the global sound.
