If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Last Night

‘The Other Side’ is the first track from my upcoming EP; ‘Dark Before The Dawn’. It touches on dealing with mental health and coming through the other side stronger. The aim of this song is to help people struggling and inspire them to take positive action to deal with it and talk about it.

Headroom

Kindergraph is an independent musician making music in his attic with beats, synths, pianos and noises. Songs turns out however they turn out but the influences in the background probably include Fourtet, DJ Shadow, Mum, Emancipator, Boards of Canada, Massive Attack, The Blue Nile, TWDY, Wolf Alice, Jonsi, and the full gamut of 80s melodic pop. Sometimes playful, sometimes sad, sometimes triumphant, always curious.

With her unique lyrical style Jay explores themes of love and belonging in her music, writing each song as though it is a scene in a movie. 

Jay had her first radio play in 2018 when Bob Fischer played her on BBC Radio Tees. With repeated support from local radio, this spurred her to develop as an artist and challenge herself in her songwriting. She went on to have tracks played on BBC 6 Music. Called 'genre-defying' by Tom Robinson, Jay is a Sage Summer Studios alumni and an awardee of the Do It Differently Fund through Help Musicians (2021)
