Together since 1980, The original jangle guitar band, BNI has opened live shows for Spencer Davis, Rare Earth, Lovin' Spoonful, Dave Mason, The Buckingham's, Head East, Romantics, Savoy Brown, Off Broadway, Long Ryders, The Kind, Pete Special, Rick Danko, The Smithereens, Elvis Bros. 
BNI has played many clubs in Chicago with small Midwest tours and dates in Europe. BNI has released E.P.’s, C.D.’s, Compilation Albums, Demos and Video for over 30 years. This band enjoys making original music. Recording hours of material in over 25 studios we have proudly worked and co-produced with Phil Bonnet, Graham Walker, Jeff Murphy, Frank Pappalardo, Malcolm Chisholm, Denny Nowak and many more.

2019 - BNI released an end of year full-length studio CD/record with Craig Williams of Dr. Caw Studios. The new CD is named “hey hey hey”, this is the bands 6th independent release.

2020 - BNI is in the studio presently producing and recording new songs. With plans to release another full-length effort of new music this summer.

2021 - New songs released monthly.

Out of the dank swamps and into the wide open country side, founding member  of the moody blues-rock band The Blackwater Fever ventures into new musical territory performing his new alt-country solo material.

Chicago based  -   Musicians
Jay ORourke began his professional music career working in Chicago's Clubs in the 1980's. His first record release was as a co producer of Ministry’s first Wax Trax release “I’m Falling/Cold Life”. Jay went on to produce & play guitar for Chicago legends “B.B. Spin”.

Following stints as front of house engineer at The Vic Theater & The Park West (in Chicago), Jay produced & played guitar for “The Insiders” Epic Records debut “Ghost On The Beach”. “Ghost” was hip clip of the week on MTV, & charted in the top 10 at A.O.R. Radio. The Insiders went on to release 3 more records on Jay & Ginny ORourke’s, Monsterdisc Records. 

ORourke was mastering engineer for Alligator Records at Monsterdisc Mastering, engineering over 20 releases for the label. He has worked with artists as diverse as Warren Zevon, Urge Overkill, Robbie Fulks, Material Issue, Liz Phair, & The Slammin' Watusis.
