Dat boi Troy from Indahouse and empire house family is a professional dancer that specialises in House dance and floor movement. He has graduated from a Russian ballet school and still continues to practice his ballet art today. 
He has trained afro Caribbean and African traditional dances under the irie dance company.. contemporary under rambert youth company and Matthew bourne youth company “ rebourne “. He has been fusing his ballet/contemporary technique with his house dancing, Giving him an unique style in the house dance scene today.
He is one of the leading forces for the younger generation in the house dance scene today. He has Judged, competed & taught in the Uk, USA, Europe, Africa & Asia. He represents himself in the clubs and as a dancer for Defected records. 
He also hosts a house night every month in shoreditch/old street with his DJ collective “ empire house family “

All with heavy influence from his 90's upbringing on 80's Pop, R&B & Action/Horror & Drama flicks as a child to adult. A constant deep retro or jazz atmosphere lays as his foundation in just about everything he touches, he can go melodic or staccato. Bringing in various synths from the 80s, complex polyrhythmic bass lines, dream like chords, retro drum machines like the legendary "Linn Drum" or "Roland's 808/707" or even the "Drumulator" with his signature cinematic nostalgic pads. 

When it comes to controlling a crowd, Jay is truly a strong advocate in high quality music, both in sound and the aesthetic of it. From open format, to Deep House to Funk, to Hip Hop & beyond. Always a journey guider or story teller when it comes to spinning of rare music you've never heard to music you wish never ended.
