Helping you start 2019 right, and for the third year running, we present Jaytech's long-awaited and superbly crafted Positronic EP. This series sets the musical scene for a year of progressive house to come from Positronic Digital. EP3 is a four-tune trip encompassing the latest sounds from Jimbo's recent tour performances and has been painstakingly selected as the best from his recent production vault. Designed as much for a DJ play it is for your AirPods. 

'The Game' is a vision of that amazing rooftop gig you and your friends still talk about. You know the one, the unforgettable moments, everything felt just right. It's summer, it's fresh, and it's oh so uplifting. 

Shift gear to the dark and storming 'Black Canyon', road tested and loved by US dancefloors on Jaytech's recent tour. Ripping analogue baselines make this a welcome kick in the face. 

'Farsight' adds a touch of emotion to some signature atmospheric progressive trance. Come on a journey with us through this beautiful breakdown. 

Rounding out EP3 is 'Bastion', fitting as it's Jimbo's track of choice and a crowd favourite gig finale. Tribal beats, happy melodies, an instant classic.

A mainstay of the Anjunafamily, James ‘Jimbo’ Jaytech Cayzer returns home with another dynamic EP exploring the progressive trance world.

Featuring 3 sought after ID’s from his recent North American tour, the Razer EP sees Jimbo draw influences from outside the traditional progressive genre to inform his new sound. Lead single ‘Razer’ has a breaks vocal and groove treatment. There’s a darker edge to ‘Greater Love’, while ‘System Ignition’ provides a disco moment to the mix.

'Quiet Even Dark’ showcases a different side of the Luttrell project. It’s still a dance track, but it’s heavily influenced by my love for 80’s and 90’s alternative music. When I was writing and singing the vocals, it became clear that it’s a song about a woman rising up against whatever darkness may be holding her down. Taking the hurt and the negativity in her life and using it to take control and become stronger.

Lifted from the upcoming ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ (which also includes ’There's Only You’ featuring Zoë Johnston and ‘Distorted Truth’ - set for release on the band’s Anjunabeats imprint in March), fans can watch the official lyric video for ‘Flying By Candlelight’ on Above & Beyond’s YouTube channel or stream both the Original Mix and Above & Beyond Club Mix on their favourite streaming platform.

Debuted at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 300 celebration in Hong Kong last September, A&B share this ode to the elevating power of love in several flavours: Original and Club, each a delicious serving of the songwriting chops that recently swept Above & Beyond to their second GRAMMY nomination for Common Ground album cut ‘Northern Soul’.

Says Tony McGuinness, "Flying By Candlelight is a love song about a saviour who rescues our protagonist from a dark, lonely place, taking him through a spectacular night sky. A bit like The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, but a bit longer lasting!”

Instantly recognisable, entirely unforgettable, ‘Flying By Candlelight’ is the second A&B vocal feature for Longstaff, who contributed the disarming vocal to Common Ground album cut ‘Tightrope’. More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty has risen to prominence in recent months with moving single ‘Shipyards’, penned for his home town of Sunderland, UK. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

Marking the 500th catalogue release on Anjunabeats, those who like their music in a tactile format will be able to get their hands on 1 of 500 limited vinyl pressings of the ‘Common Ground Companion’ EP, available for pre-order on the Anjuna Music Store at 5pm GMT on the 23rd of January. Above & Beyond’s bruising instrumental ‘Distorted Truth’ will be released on the 8th of February, with Zoë Johnston’s haunting ’There’s Only You’ completing the Companion EP release on the 29th of March.
