Opio Lindsey, known by his stage name, Opio (born 1974[1]), is a member of the four-member, Oakland-based underground hip hop group, Souls of Mischief, and the eight-member, underground hip hop collective, Hieroglyphics.

Since the early-1990s, Opio has always done double duty for Hieroglyphics as both an emcee and producer. As a teen, Opio hooked up with local rappers Tajai and A-Plus, whom he met through Casual, another emcee who was Opio's classmate and neighbor. 

Opio has appeared on all four Souls of Mischief albums, both Hieroglyphics studio albums, and released his solo debut, Triangulation Station, in February, 2005 on the Hieroglyphics' own independent label, Hieroglyphics Imperium Recordings.

Opio's second solo album, Vulture's Wisdom, Volume 1, was released on July 15, 2008 on Hieroglyphics Imperium Recordings as well. In 2012 Opio released Vulture's Wisdom, Volume 2. 

In 2014, in addition to performing his solo show, Opio has joined forces with Las Vegas hip hop DJ legend DJ Scientific and Aagee of Compound 7 to create a live hip hop experience called Opio Live.​ With Scientific on the ones and twos and Aagee playing multiple instruments and drum machines Opio's unique style and verses come to life. Opio accentuates his performance by playing multiple drum machines and vocal manipulators while still giving you a real hip hop show. Accompanied by visuals this show is an all-around hip hop experience.

March 3, 2015 Opio will be releasing his newest solo endeavor The Subconscious Mind EP. Produced soley by Free The Robots. This is not something to miss!

Statement Haircut win the Half Man Half Biscuit memorial prize for having my favourite band name in this list. That aside, this London trio are unlikely to be compared to the lads who shook the Wirral. Their bio highlights their eclecticism, noting that they’re influenced by dance, post-punk, funk, dub, and pop.

This disparate mess of genres comes together nicely, because Statement Haircut are essentially a pop band, albeit one that sounds like it might have been left for too long in the tumble dryer. Fans of music that avoids the easy hook and reaches for something interesting will enjoy their recent singles – try Rügen as a starting point.

Currently developing and recording music which blends folk-punk sounds, biting lyrics and harmonies, Jazamin is a self-taught singer-songwriter, regularly playing gigs in and around Liverpool, having performed at Threshold Festival, BBC 6 Music Fringe Festival and many other gigs around the UK, in Italy and in the United States. In 2015, her song 'Ten Years' was selected for Glastonbury Festival's ‘Emerging Talent Competition's Longlist‘ by Clash Magazine for its "skillfully executed, folk-derived songwriting".
