The Jazz Access Podcast is a weekly podcast featuring interviews from jazz musicians and musical minds from around the world. Each episode hears musicians talk about their projects, explain their origins as a musician, and curates conversation geared toward the unique mindset of the jazz musician. These are the audio portraits of jazz artists, and we're giving you access to them.

Listeners will have the opportunity to not only listen, but tweet questions to the musicians who are interviewed. Follow @JazzAccessPod and find out who's going to be on the show. Then ask your questions using #JazzAccess and I'll ask them during the episode.

Dj Vinnly é antropólogo, pesquisador e produtor musical. 

Nascido na efervescente e cosmopolita cidade de São Paulo, a musicalidade brasileira esteve presente desde cedo em sua vida, seja frequentando festas de cultura popular como bumba-meu-boi, folia de reis, maracatu ou nas rodas de samba, choro e forró pela cidade. 

Iniciou seus estudos musicais no violão, mas foi na percussão e mais recentemente nos beats eletrônicos que encontrou sua vocação como DJ.

Idealizador da Jambú Vibes - a festa que faz tudo tremer, fruto da pesquisa e vivência do dj e produtor após passar 4 anos de residência em Manaus onde garimpou diversos discos de vinil regionais  de carimbó, guitarrada, lambada, brega e música de beiradão (uma vertente mais instrumental da região cujo maior expoente é o lendário saxofonista Teixeira de Manaus) e de musica latina como cumbia, salsa, merengue, mambo, rumba e boogalu!

Dj Vinnly is anthropologist, researcher and music producer.

Born and raised in the bustling and cosmopolitan city of São Paulo, brazilian music has always been present early in his life, whether attending popular culture parties such as bumba-meu-boi, folia de reis, maracatu or on the samba, choro and forró gigs around the city.   Began his musical studies on the guitar, but it was on percussion and more recently on electronic beats that he found his vocation as a DJ.

Played at events such as FUA, Virada Sustentável, Feira do Paço and Festival Nordestino in Manaus.

From roots to the contemporary, Dj Vinnly gets into the point where tradition and modernity meets!
