This was my set to get the crowd nice and limber before DemoDc took them on a 3hr sonic journey of 100% self made music. The party was a huge success but many could not make it, so enjoy the next 2 hours from me, recorded at the event.

Jazz-o-Tech is a label that draws on the rich heritage of two of the most visionary and experimental genes in music: jazz and techno. Taking inspiration from the freeform creative nature of those two musical worlds, artists on the label mix tradition with modernity, improvisation with experimentation, and create a new sound known as techno-jazz. Modern music needs to be ambitious. It must aim to deliver a musical message which is one step beyond what has already been heard. It must take you on a new musical journey into unknown dimensions and emotions. That is the Jazz-o-Tech mission.

Henning Baer [ Grounded Theory / K209 ]

Henning Baer is a man on a mission who’s slowly been building his name in Berlin and beyond.  As one half of the team behind the Grounded Theory Berlin project, now up to the 14th party, they’ve hosted names such as Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Function, Redshape, Traversable Wormhole, Perc, Pattern Repeat, Terence Fixmer to name a few.

Grounded Theory, not content with being just a party, is also a booking agency and soon to be label. Looking after Milton Bradley, Subjected & Moerbeck (Vault Series), Fanon Flowers, Sawlin and Sawf, it’s easy to see that Henning is building an ever-expanding stable of young talent, that will shape the face of techno for years to come.

As a DJ, he’s a regular around his hometown of Berlin. On top of his Grounded Theory parties he can be found playing his trade at the legendary Tresor, Arenaclub and Suicide Circus, as well as an increasing number of appearances around Europe. His no compromise underground techno has been destroying dancefloors at every turn.

It was only a matter of time before Henning took the next logical step into production. Setting up the K209 label, in 2011, with Milton Bradley and dropping the first release in March. He followed it up with his first solo release on the label in September. He’s since had tracks snapped up by Adam X’s Sonic Groove label.

After the Tea And Techno blog named Henning in their ‘Ones To Watch For 2012’ list, all the signs are pointing to a very bright future for this exciting prospect.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ ALAN BACKDROP

Straight from Northern Italy, Alessio Meneghello or better known for his moniker Alan Backdrop, has been alluring his listeners through his productions characterized with deep atmospheres and a mixture of different genres. Simply put, Alan’s fascination is a reflection of his passion for electronic music and inspiration he gets from the world around.
He is the kind of producer that certainly enjoys his studio jam sessions—this is the reason why he spends most of the time in his studio tweaking knobs on synthesizers, recording and experimenting with the aim to capture and create his exceptional sound.
Alan Backdrop released his debut album, VR Plan, in 2013 on Prologue, an album that includes some of his pioneering tracks, such as “Cherber,” “Medel,” and “Siere.” Shortly, he managed to create his second album, Eria, released in 2014 on Ekar Records, label and platform with which he has a long-lasting relationship and where he released a big part of his discography. He recently joined Mental Modern and Semantica Records where he kicked out some 12".
Alessio's side project is a_000, born from the unprompted come across of him and Enrico Rlt, which resulted in the creation of "Road to Nauta", the very first wax from Ekar Records and "Ness Reworks 001", a 12" containing two original tracks plus two remixes from the label founder and friend Ness.
In addition to spending most of the time in his studio, Alan Backdrop performs in various festivals—the latest in which he performed were Modem Festival and Parallel— and in different clubs and musical events. Fascinated by electronic music and concentrated in the realization of atmospheric musical journeys is the best way to describe Alan Backdrop.

Alan Backdrop - Tech Clubbers Podcast #127

Revelation of Sounds is pleased to present Kontinum. Initially inspired by the subcultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.

In 2017 then, he co-founded the project Nebula and after organising their first raves the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.

In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical and organisational affairs, he continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his recent releases on labels such as Circular Limited, Oslated or Lowless.

Jessica Kert spent her youth in rehearsal rooms of her hometown making music, independent of everything else, a world of her own where she can freely shape, evolve, and rediscover herself. By a fortunate coincidence 8 years ago she found herself as an employee in SchneidersLaden - a synthesizer shop based in Berlin, that was her first dive into the world of electronic music and she became instantly fascinated by modular synthesizers. The experiences she gained playing, inspired her to start her own solo project - a very personal journey of musical discovery - immediate but not intrusive, raw and harsh but gentle, pugnacious and effortless at the same time.
This is presented in the podcast she made for us.

Catharsis Cast 032 // Jessica Kert

Anascole is definitely the representative of the Albanian electronic techno scene. Anascole is the artistic name of the music producer Anastas Kolagji. In 2004 he started producing with a computer and a keyboard, so Anas begun to gain a taste for computerised production. Then in 2010 Anascole begun some projects in Minimal and Techno, now he has developed his style more into techno, hypnotic and groovy. Anascole is a sure crowd pleaser and his sets include a combination of the newest forms of techno blended with unique mixing style. Quickly growing his international fan base through releases on different record labels around the globe, he has been involved in and organised different events in Albania, while his music is played worldwide.
