Framework presents the fourth edition of TOWER Imports, a limited mix series designed to incorporate international artists into New York's TOWER project.

This entry comes from Eastern Distributor, the stage name of Naarm-based artist Daniel Jakobsson, a versatile creator pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

Eastern Distributor focuses on a rich tapestry of deep, syncopated basslines and minimalist, crisp percussion. Tracks unfold with ambient, evolving soundscapes that create an atmospheric backdrop, inviting exploration and introspection within its rhythmic foundation. 

"I'm so excited to be sharing this mix for the Framework/TOWER series. I love the concept, this particular mix is inspired by the glass component in the construction of the tower. I leant toward choosing dynamically wide tracks; low end and layered high frequency percussion. One and a half hours of shifting between experimental, dubstep, liquid and plenty of tek. TOWER is a building function that aims to channel the sonic palettes of production and construction skyward, celebrating and embracing an industrial optimism that resists both nihilistic and utopian escape. TOWER is a subsidiary of Framework, an NY bass & drum label in development.

From the album The Lost City, Police Chase in Taksim Square is inspired by the police repression during the 2023 Gay Pride in Istanbul. It captures the tension of that moment—sirens, footsteps, and the struggle for freedom in the streets of Turkey.

With Turkish multi-instrumentalist Efe K., the track combines melodies with dark drone sounds, creating a hypnotic and intense atmosphere.
