Mini Zucchini (Timișoara, RO) is a DJ/ solo project experimenting with new-beat, electro and italo- disco music. She's been active in the local music scene of Timișoara since 2014 as a founding member of the Launmomentdat event series, and she started DJing in 2019 at Harababura Vintage Fair, where she offers a creative space for female DJs in the local community.
 
Mini Zucchini captures the feeling of nostalgia and touches on the current 80s resurgence of italo-disco, which has made a comeback in recent years. Looking back on trends, tracks and influences from darkwave, EBM and electro, quickly turning the dance floor into a retro discotheque. Over the years, she has become an avid collector of eclectic sounds, shifting around styles and tempos.


 
Mini Zucchini is connected to many events around the European Capital of Culture like Sabotage Festival, Sit+Read Artbook Fair, The Secret Garden, Simultan Festival and many others.

Mini Zucchini hvata osećaj nostalgije i dotiče se aktuelnog oživljavanja italo-diska iz 80-ih, koji se vratio poslednjih godina. Osvrćući se na trendove, trake i uticaje darkwavea, EBM-a i elektra, brzo pretvara podijum u retro diskoteku. Tokom godina, postala je strastveni kolekcionar eklektičnih zvukova, menjajući stilove i tempo.

Mini Zucchini je povezana sa mnogim događajima širom Evropske prestonice kulture kao što su Sabotage Festival, Sit+Read Artbook Fair, The Secret Garden, Simultan Festival i mnogi drugi.

Welcome back to the December edition of the Gated podcast!
We're super happy to welcome Feryne this month, with a delicious set of varied tunes from the electro/acid/idm/techno realms.
A self-admitted music freak, Feryne has mixed her fave electro, idm and techno tracks since 2005. She's played at the many clubs and festivals of Hungary (Kontra, Wndrlnd, Corvintető, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál, S.U.N festival, Ozora ect...) and other countries, like Germany, Croatia, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, France and of course the Netherlands (Drift Festival, Het Nest Festival, ADE etc).
She is currently based in Nijmegen (NL) and is also a resident DJ at
Nijmegen’s very own Open Source Radio.

We also have some new bits to start from Gated and a class release from Featherstone too from his recent EP for the Ernest's way label.

Our first mix of 2024 comes from none other than the amazing @anna-gram ! We've wanted to have a mix from Anna for a while now and it's amazing to finally have it in!

Anna had a big 2023 with releases on Correspondent and Permanent Vacation as well as starting up the Joy Energizer party series in Glasgow.

Today we want to share »Hauki«, the new mini-album by @sasse_blackheadstudios, with you. Finland's secret weapon in Berlin makes indeed a »Vorstoss In Die Tiefe« aka »foray into the depths« as the opener indicates. A foray to where the »Hauki« lives and catches his prey - what a lovely yet dangerous tune. »Book Of Alex« is more on the dreamy side of house music whereas »Manhattan« evokes car rides through a rainy New York night. But it doesn't take long until the »Sunrise In Mellenhof« - a very trippy sunrise that is. But Sasse wouldn't be Sasse if he wouldn't be able to throw in a downbeat tune like »JP-4« to surprise you, the loyal listener. Now all you gotta do is listen. Listen deep.
