Mad Mats, dating back his famous Raw Fusion Parties, is definitely one of the best "Club Jazz" DJ's in the World even if most of the people know him as a great House Dj with amazing Hip Hop Skills!

He has done for "My Favorite Things" a great mix including some digital only and unreleased tracks like this killer Incognito Remix by MAW and this hard to find, CD Only, Billy Foster’s Samba tune !

Mats has selected too some rare gems, which remember he was a very serious digger and records collector during the 80’s and 90’s like the Killer Britfunk "Final Approach" by ICQ !

Some Future classics also featured by Mats and myself like the EWF’s Cover "Can’t hide love" by Mishcael Stephenson and one of the best Jazz record of the year by Emma-Jean Thackray.

Within Without, the expansive string laden centre of Scrimshire's 2021 album Nothing Feels Like Everything, receives a beautiful rework from long-time friend and collaborator Emanative. 

Scrimshire and Emanative appeared in the London Jazz scene around the same time in 2008 and in fact in 2010 Scrimshire remixed song Illusions, from Nick Woodmansey's debut record. Now the prolific producer and writer returns the favour with a meditative and uplifting take.

The bonds on this rework are many and deep as both artists have worked extensively with Jessica Lauren over the years. In this remix, Nick brings more of his own collaborators along for the ride, with additional saxophone and vocals lifting this peaceful "optimistical" version.

Amaro Freitas is a Brazilian jazz pianist and composer whose sound is rooted in the folk and ceremonial rhythms and harmonies from his country's northern region; quickly becoming one of Brazil's most in demand jazz pianists.  His experimental jazz masterpiece "Melanina" features Freitas' phenomenal piano lines which circle overhead like flocks of birds while the tribal drums drive us forward and root us into the earth. No one does it like Amaro Freitas, truly one of the jazz greats of our time. Part of the "Colour Theory" jazz compilation out on Inner Ocean!
