This week I came back from sunny and warm Santorini, where I got sick, but still could enjoy the sea view and some mountain walks. Another safety outlet was reading a collection of short stories by Haruki Murakami 'Men Without Women'. And the funny coincidence was I saw many Asian tourists there, what created sometimes the feeling, that I wasn't in Greece, but in Japan, with all the characters from the stories. One of the things I like in Murakami's books is he refers a lot of music, especially jazz. The Murakami's reference led me to 'The Art Tatum Solo masterpieces, Vol.7' by Art Tatum, which I was listening to two evenings while reading in a cozy chair. The last interesting highlight from this week is I've met a 7000 years old woman in Benaki museum in Athens.

Hey everyone, hope you're doing well! 

This week brought an unexpected turn of events as I have to say goodbye to Linkfire. Despite the unexpected news, I've been reflecting on some positive experiences and great people from my time at Linkfire. During this period, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of music, connect with millions of fans, and work on fascinating projects with major music brands.

Linkfire served as an inspiration, encouraging me to pursue my hobby. I was surrounded by colleagues who shared a passion for music, some even actively involved in creating music. It was within this environment that the idea for the Jazzed Irregularity podcast was conceived, along with its name. And to think, Linkfire brought me to Denmark, where my fairy tale actually began ❤️🎶

J. Peacock is a Blackpool born artist, raised on Northern Soul and nurtured in the Manchester music scene. He started making and releasing music in 2012, delving into sub genres of techno. Shaka's new drop on Selections is a delightful one that combines real jazz melodies with authentic deep house. Opener 'Sacred Church' (feat Eve - main mix) immediately wins you over with the buys keys, Rhodes chords and eco-system of cosmic synths that busy about while the soulful vocal oozes cool. Jon Cutler's Distant Music mix pairs things back and makes it more of a smoky late night sound and 'Shaker Games' then blisses you out with dusty drum depths and incidental chords that are magically feel good. 'Get Me Higher' shuts down with some superb US house vibes.

Carnaval Sessions #18 opens with DJ Merci @dj_merci – Wistful Melody, a track I first discovered through my favorite Jemaho (@jemaho) on his Nova Casa Jazz Live show at Dogglounge. His beautiful and captivating mixes have introduced me to countless gems over the years, always striking a perfect balance between depth and groove. I’ve spent many hours listening to his sets -  walking for miles while immersed in their deep, atmospheric flow, filled with stunning and soulful tracks that stay with you long after. Thank you, Jemaho!

Born in 1969, Jemaho started playing music in 1983. He had opportunities to play in legendary clubs like The Café D'Anvers or The Catacombes. He's now known for his infamous Nova Casa Jazz and the latter One15 Sessions. Jemaho is also the brain behind Jazzy Butterfly Records, a digital label that tends to prove that real Deep and House Music can also survive in this digital world. He has also, as a producer, releases on Xoom Recordings, Major League House, Série Limitée, Pocket Money and others!

Through sound, we transcend the everyday and enter a world where our dreams, thoughts, and fantasies come to life.
