Ruin Me

‘This is a love song written about where I live and who I have in my life. It marks a shift in my own mental health, happiness and creativity. Being a full-time musician, life can be exciting, spontaneous and hugely rewarding but also chaotic, unpredictable and at times, unstable. For the first time in my life, I am happy with who I am, and where I reside- next to the sea, along the beautiful Dorset coastline.’

Safe Place

Bournemouth (UK) singer songwriter Jazz Morley has teamed up with legendary garage producer Mark ‘Artful’ Hill (better know as the The Artful Dodger) to create a club classic that fuses two step garage and down-tempo electo-pop that had become synonymous with Jazz Morley’s previous singles. 

Mark Hill found fame with The Artful Dodger in the early 2000’s, producing huge hits including ‘Moving Too Fast’ and ‘Re-Rewind’  which ignited the career of Craig David.

Every Moment

'Me and My Mind' is about struggling with mental health, but being positive that the issues you face don't define you and the way you can sometimes feel won't ever defeat you. Sometimes it feels as though my mind and I are two separate people co-habiting inside one body. The only way to deal with that is to try and maintain as platonic relationship between them as possible, and concentrate on taking each day as it comes.

Me And My Mind

'Wash Over Me' is about how time and experiences allow us to grow a thicker, more durable skin, enabling us to better cope with criticism and negativity. The song is also intrinsically linked to the sea and the healing affect it has on me. When I'm anxious, worried or stressed, a swim in the waves or a blustery walk along the beach completely realigns my mind and body.

Wash Over Me

"I wrote Disconnected just before my brother went on his first tour as an Officer with the Rifles to Afghanistan. Along with the inherent worry of knowing someone you love is physically going to war, the song is also about the feeling of drifting apart from a sibling emotionally; the inevitable challenges that life’s changes bring, and wanting to go back to being naive, innocent children, sheltered from adulthood’s responsibilities. As we get older, and life moves on, it can become hard to communicate the way you feel to your family. I truly believe we can all feel vulnerable and childlike at times, regardless of our age."

Parallel World

I wrote ‘Lights’ in Spain, immediately after having a near-death experience involving a lorry and a tunnel. It was the first time in my life I actually felt like I knew I was about to die. After it happened I began to question everything. How come I was still alive, without a scratch on my body, when I was so absolutely sure it was all over? And why did I let go so acceptingly? I’m often so consumed with my own thoughts and worries; this experience really opened up another portal in my brain- shouting at me to enjoy life, feel it all, experience as much as possible and take nothing for granted.
