I lost my brother to suicide 3 years ago, I have listened to this song since, and every time it reduces me to tears. It is so pure, so innocent and speaks so much truth. What i would do to go back to childhood and have my big bro by my side.

I serously cant get over how amazing and beautiful this song is. Your voice sends me to tears. Thus truly is an amazing piece of art.

"I wrote Disconnected just before my brother went on his first tour as an Officer with the Rifles to Afghanistan. Along with the inherent worry of knowing someone you love is physically going to war, the song is also about the feeling of drifting apart from a sibling emotionally; the inevitable challenges that life’s changes bring, and wanting to go back to being naive, innocent children, sheltered from adulthood’s responsibilities. As we get older, and life moves on, it can become hard to communicate the way you feel to your family. I truly believe we can all feel vulnerable and childlike at times, regardless of our age."
