A brooding doo-wop inspired ballad soundtracking heartbreak and suspicion, secrets and lies. A lush array of brass and vibraphones, provided expertly by Jazz Party’s well-travelled instrumentalists, led gracefully by the adept band leader in Darcy McNulty. Presenting a powerhouse vocal performance from Miller who's voice ranges between a sweet whisper and a menacing wail, It also features stunning falsetto backing vocals (members Lachlan Mitchell, Hue Blanes and Harry Angus) masterfully restrained tinkering piano from Blanes and the sensuous rhythm of Rory McDougal on drums (The Putbacks).

To us, the spirit of the album lives in the sessions we did in the town of Alexandra in a farmhouse on the lake. The story was always the most important thing to tell; Bendigo the most important thing to portray. It was kind of like one of those TV cooking show challenges; where you get five ingredients, a George Foreman grill and whatever's in the fridge - and you have to go make the best meal you can.

So it's with a strange sense of pride, immense relief, and nervous trepidation that we release 'Greater City...' to the world on August 4th.
