„Cornerstone” is the opening track of the album Jazz Report From the Hood. Without any unnecessary introductions, it kicks off with a strong jazz punch. Piano and trumpet deliver short yet expressive solos, carving out a theme full of pulse and character.

The title speaks for itself: it's the foundation, the cornerstone, the bedrock of the neighborhood stories the band aims to tell. Many of these stories begin right at the street corner. 

“Cornerstone” is an invitation to step into the world of Jazz Report from the Hood — street rhythms and jazz, forming a bold and modern urban fusion. The full album is set to be released in autumn 2025 via Astigmatic Records.

Several years after his successful debut album „Keep It Raw,“ Dusty hits home with this ecelectic 4 track EP which represents a foretaste of his second album „Mood Matters“. The Jazz&Milk label founder consistantly straddles the line between tradition and modernity and proves that an album need not simply commit itself to a genre or two; and in the process ups the ante considerably by featuring a broad spectrum of musical styles, bringing together Dusty’s favourite leanings such as Jazz, Funk, Soul, Afrobeat, Latin, percussive Beats and Deep House rhythms, while seeking a natural balance between accoustic, electronic and traditional sounds through the prism of a club-music oriented approach. 

This fusion is brilliantly demonstrated on the title track „Mood Matters“ which meshes forward-driven house beats with organic instrumentation – a big Jazz banger for the dancefloor! „Danse Macabre“ features Dusty’s live band project „Bad Jazz Troupe“ taking you on a wild trip between massive horn sections, heavy beats and deep basslines. On the B-side you’ll find the strong Afro-Funk piece „Seventy Three“ with its sweeping horns, charming Afrobeat guitars and mighty drumbeats and let’s not forget the soulful beauty of „Longing Lingers“, featuring the heavenly voice of Carla Vallet ,as well as one of Munich’s most talented producers, Bartellow. 

Catch the video for the title track „Mood Matters“. Paper drum- and tape machines are brought to life through elaborately generated stop-motion sequences which can also be found on the cover artwork - handmade and directed by the artist himself.

He has also mixed CDs like "Lovetronica!!"(2009), "The Rawest Fusion - Jazztronik VS
Mad Mats"(2009). His latest original album is ‘’Keystone’’(2016).His track "Samurai" in the Album "Nanairo"(2004) became one of his biggest hits worldwide and topped many DJs charts like Gille Peterson, Danny Krivit and Louie Vega. His fame spread globally with "Samurai" and he became the best known Japanese DJ in the world. He has been booked to festivals like Southport Weekender, Kaunas Fes(Lithuania), Jazzkaar Fes(Estonia), April Jazz Fes (Finland) and also toured cities like New York, Paris, London, Manchester, Rome, Seoul, Shanghai and countries like Slovakia,Croatia, Ireland... and so on as a DJ and Live in concert.Also as a composer and producer, Ryota has produced soundtracks for prime time Japanese TV Dramas like "Miraikoushi Meguru", "Real Clothes", "Love game",’’Toubou Bengoshi’’ ,’’First Class’’,and Blockbuster Movies like "Miyagino".
