We're going into the second round of remix extracts for Of Norway's 2014 album “Accretion”. Already the frst release with remixes by Adriatique and Lehar for the wonderful “Spirit Lights” was and still is a big success and we are sure the interpretation for “It's You” we will be equally successful.

The original is a Kraut-House epic with the haunting vocals of Norwegian singer Lois, and for us from Connaisseur one our favourites from the album.

Just like most tracks from Of Norway, “It's You” is an original predestined to be remixed.
First on the remix duties is Eric Volta, an artist we highly appreciate, mostly known for his releases on No.19 and Visionquest, as well as a bunch of amazing remixes. He is a thoroughbred musician and massive talent. His way of building up his tracks is extraordinary, he doesn't just tell stories with his tracks, he tells fairly tales. Mystic, surprising and touching is also his interpretation for “It's You”. We were (ohne almost) speechless when we we heard it for the frst time. A track for a special moment and perfect for Connaisseur. We are in love with it!

The second remix comes from The Drifter, the third man of the Maeve collective next to Mano Le Tough and Baikal. 2015 seems to be his year, as what he has delivered so far in the past months is pure bliss. His remix for “It's You” is further proof for his unstoppable rising success. With his interpretation he starts smoothly but quickly builds up an alluring tension, setting several freak-out moments for the club with his breaks. We are sure you will hear his wonderful version very often on the dancefoors in the next months.

Berlin based label Save Us has been turning some heads for quite some time now and this remix of Mallone.’s track “Kafka" by Kris Davis exactly shows why. Kris Davis had solidified his position in the scene with releases on Bade Records and Save Us Records, and slots alongside some of the world’s well established DJ’s. Once again Davis strikes on Save Us with his remix for Mallone, where he showcases his love for the deep and emotional side of techno.

Rising from humble beginnings like Icarus heading towards the skies, Singularity plots its course for the stratosphere as it heads ever onwards and upwards…but unlike Icarus this is a tempered and restrained ascent not an easy task to pull off but one that makes the impact so much stronger for it's subtle, ever evolving simplicity.

With a melody that comes on like a half-remembered memory and lingers long after the sound itself fades away, Singularity stays with you, slowly and carefully weaving its way around you while its drums beat a steady, forceful pulse and its percussion jumps in and out like Billy Pilgrim skipping thru time. The combined effect is something much more than the sum of its parts. Somehow this simple techno tune creates an entire world of its own and asks you to inhabit it for a while, losing yourself in the process..

On the flip side, Monoloc exercises an equal and proportional restraint in his take on things. Like a voice emerging from a faded dream, the melody peeks out behind a curtain of reverb and industrial drums compellingly foreshadowing its full potential. Growing from there, the atmosphere slowly engulfs the listener until finally the slow build up reaches its full force providing a fantastic re-imagining of the original with an almost romantic yet no less powerful conclusion.

Mennie - H.A.P.P.Y. (Preview) | Exploited

The LHF collective have always in some ways been the shadowy soul of Dusk and Blackdown's Keysound label. Pirate radio obsessed, shrouded in smoke and London mythology, always chasing the essence of underground sound in the dark alleys between genres and historical realities, they encapsulate so much that links the other artists on the label. It's been a little while since their last release, but thankfully they're still as ghostly but imposingly present as ever. This album is almost entirely done by founding member Amen Ra, and this track is as crisp a bit of fever-dream 2-step as you could hope for.

Hailing from the South of Germany, Stuttgart to be more precisely, the release of ‘Madelaine’ on Innervisions was his big break through. Born in Stuttgart 1987, Sibold became the youngest resident of the notorious Rocker 33; only two years later he and his long time companion Leif Müller started ‘Common Sense People’. In this event series the focus is on providing an intimate insight into one artist, with extended sets and focused programming, all in line with the mantra of the night – noncomercial, deep and timeless electronic music. Things that are nowadays essential to Konstantins sets as well.

WhoMadeWho brought their down-tempo track ‚There’s A Way‘ to Get Physical last March. Now just as summer hit’s its peak, we’ve collected remixes from the family; andhim, Jazzuelle and T.M.A.

First up is andhim with chopped vocals establishing the initial rhythm as the percussion follows suit and the vocoders slowly fade in. They give the track an open-air summery vibe that the duo have become known for, while keeping the track strong enough to be played out just about anywhere. Jazzuelle decides on a slower build with a darker atmosphere leading us to a beautiful break before bringing warm smiles with warming synths. Newcomers T.M.A bring a fantastic mixture of sunshine-house and jazz to the track proving the German trio know their way around the studio. And last but definitely not least, the original mix wraps up the remix EP, giving us a great reference point of the diversity found in each remix.
