I was going to give up, but she was sweet, telling me, ‘just do a tune, fuck everyone off, don’t worry about it.’ My dog died, and I was totally gutted about that. She was just like, ‘make a tune, cheer up, stay up late, make a cup of tea’. And I rang her mobile twenty minutes later and I’d made that ‘Archangel’ tune, and I was like, ‘I’ve made the tune, the tune you told me to make.’ And I heard this vocal and it doesn't say it but it sounds like 'archangel'.

Selects Two is a mixture of upbeat jazzy jams and funky drops. We have selected tracks that have colourful vibes and cool grooves, all with a leftfield aesthetic.
  
On the second track, we have the filter funk of“Who R U”by Jazzy Rhythmer, classic dusty kicks and plucked bass notes define this beautiful beat.

Underground dance music culture in Seoul is on the rise. More and more clubs are emerging and parties representing different tastes and values are diversifying the scene.

As a result, Seoul-based DJs and producers have formed crew collectives to make their musical identities stronger. 'Hazed & Confucius’ is one of these dedicated crews. Their aim is to allow hazy Lo-Fi, crunchy leftfield house and raw techno music to have a strong presence amidst Seoul’s many shades.

In this compilation, Hazed & Confucius have curated 6 tracks from Seoul-based artists who are emblematic of their unique identity. DJ / Producers DJ Bowlcut, Adam Emil, Jazzy Rhythmer, Jae Young, Purvitae and Anchore all contribute and spent time a sizeable amount of studio time together to make this compilation a true document of how they see their future local house music scene develop.

With Quarter To Quarter, Amsterdam-based record label The North Quarter delivers its first compilation album: a manifesto and its most ambitious project to date.

The 14 track project features prominent vocalists IAMDDB and Azekel, Bass Music legends Total Science and Break and all the core artists that have made Lenzman’s boutique label the breath of fresh air it is today.

The North Quarter is a collective of artists from around the globe, brought together through a shared love for the authentic. The imprint has become a household name in just a short space of time through ambitious and highly detailed artist projects. With Quarter to Quarter, a compilation of cutting edge Drum & Bass music, the label further solidifies its reputation and unique vision.

Never doing things the fast and easy way, the album was put together and nurtured by A&R and founder Lenzman over the course of 18 months.

Lenzman explains: “Way back when I first got into music, I wanted to share that magic with others. Today that same urge still endures within me. With this album I've tried to bring together a group of artists with whom I have shared values, who have never been brought together in this way, and create a timeless statement of intent."
