OTK (어떡해 – How Can It Be)

This song was inspired by someone I love who often says “어떡해” —
the Korean phrase for “what should I do?” usually said in moments of panic or overwhelm,
often sounding unintentionally cute.

And in Korean culture, the common comforting reply is:
“어떡하긴, 하나씩 해결해나가면 되지.”
(“What do you mean, what should you do? You just solve things one step at a time.”)

But this song turns that meaning completely around.

It’s not about panic. It’s not about finding a solution.
It’s about the rare moment when everything already fits —
when there is nothing to do, because the alignment is so peaceful, so natural, so beautifully overwhelming.

A different kind of 어떡해:
“What should I do… when there is nothing to do?”
“How can this be so right?”

When we first met, it felt natural and comforting — fast but slow, familiar yet new —
overwhelming in the best way, filled with peace and joy at finding someone who felt perfectly fitting.

That’s the heart of OTK —
a familiar phrase transformed into quiet awe and certainty, a love so aligned it asks for no action at all.

And OTK itself comes from the romanticized rhythm
OT-TOH-KEH,
echoing the sound and emotion of “어떡해” in a simple, global way.

OTK (어떡해 – How Can It Be)

Roade of Music is a collection of instrumental pieces written across my life, beginning around 2002–2003 and continuing through different seasons of growth, healing, and change.

These songs exist because instrumental music is simply a different way of processing emotion — one that doesn’t require explanation, structure, or resolution. When emotions don’t need to be named or organized, music allows you to feel freely, without the pressure of making everything make sense.

Through these pieces, I’ve processed love, hope, gratitude, and peace, alongside loss, grief, longing, exhaustion, reflection, and the quiet moments when rest was needed most. Instrumentals create space — space to sit with emotions in their raw form, to move through them gently, and to let meaning emerge naturally through sound rather than language.

Roade of Music begins with an introduction to my musical journey, and each piece reflects emotions I was processing at different points in my life. The tracks are not chronological. Instead, they are emotional spaces you can enter in any order.

This album is not meant to be rushed. You’re invited to pick the space you need, stay as long as you want, and let the music hold whatever you’re carrying.
