MAG = A state of mind, a state of being. 

MAG Percussion = An electronic Afro-Cuban percussion duo from Denver, CO. Together Rob Brandon and Uriah Espinosa present their unique brand of  percussive, bass driven electronic music with precision; as the two have been playing together for over a decade.

Rob Brandon (MAG) and Uriah Espinosa (also MAG) met at the University of Colorado Denver Music program, in the fall of 2011. Rob a homegrown drummer from Massachusetts, and Uriah a former Blue Knight, immediately hit it off when they realized they were both total MAGs and shared an extremely strong passion for drumming. They both studied and received degrees from the University of Colorado Denver in Afro-Cuban Percussion Performance, under  their teacher Thomas VanSchoick. 

Their mentor Tom unexpectedly passed away in the fall of 2019, which brought Rob and Uriah even closer together. After doing lots of sit in and recording work with other bands in the Denver area, and being propelled by VanSchoick's passing, the two wanted a project they could call their own that was 100% MAG. At the very end of 2019, MAG Percussion was formed. With their incredibly strong work ethic, amazing chemistry while playing together and great stage presence, there is no telling how far these two MAGs will go.

Guitarist/composer from Baltimore, Maryland. 16 years old

Seger Marion is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and teacher. He currently fronts the soul-pop band, Larimer Lights.  He also plays drums sporadically with various bands and songwriters around Denver.

As an instructor with the School of Rock organization, he teaches private lessons in drums, guitar, bass, and vocals, and is a director of the Rock 101 program and the various seasonal shows.

His personal songwriting and musical influences find their way into the blues-rock and soul world, coming from the likes of the Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Maroon 5, JJ Grey and Mofro, and the many greats before them, such as Bill Withers, Jimi Hendrix, and the Motown stars of the 60s. This is fused with the alternative rock of the 2000s that he grew up with.
