this song is about what i hold closest to me. my friends, my family, and my music. (although i count my friends as my family).

ADE (amsterdam dance event) 2022 is the soul event that sparked this song. the lyrics,

"me and bruno at the train station,
sitting next to each other on the bench,
we both know it's the end,
i can't do this again"

was, you guessed it, about myself and my very close friend @dust-of-apollon sitting next to each other at a train station in near Hoofddorp, as we and the rest of our group were saying goodbye. i don't think it hit us until that moment how emotional it was to say goodbye to, a pretty much extended-family. i don't want to sound over dramatic but it genuinely was one of the most emotional experiences i've ever had in my life.

i've always felt like an outsider. as many of you i'm sure feel too. and to have found what i've been looking for for my whole life in this small group of friends was just incredibly fulfilling, and overwhelming.

the artwork for this song was created by another very close friend i met at the event, called Freya. i think her first words to me were, "i like your hair!". i'm so grateful to have met her. she is honestly one of the most kind-hearted, and loving people i have ever met. her instagram is @reyxvisuals.

this song isn't just about me feeling like i've finally FINALLY found belonging and real real friends, but it's also about love. it just felt like everything in my life finally clicked. and as i'm writing this, i can think of so many examples of how that one small trip, has changed my outlook on the world.
