This track was created beginning of April for the Disquiet Junto project 0640, then locked in the time vault by @disquiet until now, and finally released.

These are the notes I sent with the track to Marc Weidenbaum to be locked away for 8 months:

In recent years I have felt more and more that there is always something to worry about, something occupying my thoughts. Since I have to assume that this is not going to change, I wanted to compose a track that could help me to relax, to free my mind, to listen and drift away.
I recorded the rain falling on the window pane - a very calming sound. I started playing chords and created the chord progression. I picked out different sounds that I liked to create the atmosphere.
Then I started to improvise the melody on the keyboard and it turned into an arp-like motif, but it is played completely by hand and not quantized, only edited on a few notes. I added the guitar harmonics as a counter melody (if I can call it that), also improvised, and the bass. Somehow I found the very long fade-out of the field recording fitting.
I think this track will be able to calm me down when the time vault is opened!
