The sound they have curated invites the listener to dream, breathe deeply into oneself and seek truth. Organic sounds are nestled amongst warm layers of ethereal chords, bringing about a sense of intangible comfort that allows the listener to texturally potter through the inevitable liminality which accompanies growth…

Greer has reflected on their intentions and emotions behind the mix, and where serendipity has found them along the way;


“This mix was recorded at the beginning of the new year, something that started without a solid intention, ended up becoming a full on reflective journey through moments that had guided and shaped my little heart.

A loving glance between friends, a pat on the back, tears on a flight, incense in new yet old homes, a thought that incites change – something all a little deeper than myself.

I reflected on my year in a new city, reminiscing over canon events, love gained and lessons learnt. During this mix, it was like I regained consciousness, I suddenly remembered how these softer sounds can nurse us to a space of gentle introspection.

I hope this mix can be a gentle guide to reflection - when things seem chaotic or slightly out of reach - may these sounds remind you to take a deep breath and reconnect with your body…everything will be juuuuuuuuust fine!”

Time Vials: Part 2 was all about embracing spontaneity in improvisation. I was really into thinking about how to bring these approaches into the process of programming hardware.

The Elektron boxes – which all of these pieces were started on – are incredibly deep machines. Programming them is this really nice, creative, fun, and challenging process. Whenever I use their gear, I definitely feel the technology guiding me towards more experimental approaches to the material. I feel like working with hardware of this type is so nice because it's really focused in terms of what you're working on. In today's day of converged technologies, it's nice to work with technologies that do a limited set of things really well.

I also wanted to feature a little bit more gestural shape in the music, rather than having single textures just be elongated for long stretches of time. (Not at all to diss this type of music. In fact, I'm a big fan of minimal drone music!)

Uman Therma is a DJ and electronic music producer based in Seoul, also known as one half of the leftfield ambient duo Salamanda.  

Drawing from ambient and experimental electronics, she molds sound not into statements, but into atmospheres — quiet, resonant, and alive.  

Once known for navigating breakneck BPMs and unruly rhythms, she now slows the pace; tracing delicate textures in the dark, letting sound flicker like light through fractured surfaces.

Uman Therma threads together hazy ambient washes, glistening field-recording textures, and spiritual jazz improvisations with fractured club rhythms and deconstructed beats. Voices slip in like echoes, sometimes spectral, sometimes commanding, while synths ripple between warmth and dissonance. The mix drifts from intimate, almost meditative passages into moments of jagged percussion and heavy low-end, always carrying a sense of movement through shifting moods. It feels like water, light, and distortion layered together; a weave of serenity and tension that never settles fully into either.
