First attempt at a new arrangement of Zombies with Chris D on keys and vocals, WT on drums and JB on bass and vocals.

Midnite Radio got together for some holiday music featuring Karis on vocals; Chris on keys; John on guitar and J Coles on upright bass. This is an old Scottish folk song from the 1600s. It is a beautiful parting song. 

The Parting Glass (MR) 12-18-24 v1

Midnite radio played Welsh hymn "All Through The Night" which is also know as "Ar Hyd y Nos". This Christmas carol dates back to the 1700s. The English lyrics were written in the late 1800s.

A second attempt at the Norah Jones song "Staring at the Wall". On this version I overdubbed the piano part that is in the original song. Thanks Chris D for the keyboard pointers!

A second attempt at The Clash song "Guns of Brixton". I played electric guitar and sang with a drummer and then overdubbed bass. This cool song has a hypnotic groove.

My second attempt at the song "Naked Eye" by Luscious Jackson, and my first attempt with a drummer. This song has an infectious groove on the chorus. The all-female band Luscious Jackson were ahead of their time.

A cover of the Rollings Stones song "Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)" from 1973. Hard to do justice to the original song (with its cool Billy Preston clavinet), but it is fun to play.

Tried an original song about longing for home. WT on drums and Chris on keys. Fun to dig into the roster of recent songs to try out a deep cut. 

Knoxville (WTJBCD) 1-15-25 v3.3

First original hip hop song. Built off a drum groove by WT. Vocals by Slang Man, bringing Brooklyn rapper vibes. Guitar and production by JB. Fun to try. 

I'm Alright With You (Slangman) 1-15-25 v1.2

Revisited an original song about my young son who had separation anxiety as an 8 year old and didn't want his parents to leave him at bedtime. Playing this a few years after writing it brings me back to that time. WT holding it down on drums. 

Please Don't Go (WTJB) 1-23-25

This is a song under development. I tried a series of chord inversions on this song. I recoded them with WT on drums. Her drumming towards the end is insane. I sent the track to my friend Lauren in Texas and she overdubbed her vocal. The song is still a work in process, but I liked Lauren's direction.

improv blues jam with my nephews. Henry on sax. Elliot on drums and vocals. I'm on the Telecaster and then on the overdubbed bass.

Acoustic guitar; folk; Americana; jam band influences; blues; rock; old time; bluegrass; grungey stuff. Even some electro and EDM vibes occasionally. I play a wide mix of music with a lot of different people.
