STATS:

Formed in the desert of Yuma, Arizona by Cord and Brae, FS spent the next 8 years releasing material and playing live events. Eventually reaching more then 30,000 downloads on myspace and being streamed in 6 continents. After being nominated for Best Rock Band at the 2009 Carolina Music Awards, FS went on to release the full length album 'Alchemy & Architecture'. After countless lineup changes and schedule conflicts, Cord finally announced officially that Feathered Serpent had disbanded in September 2012.

INFO ON FORMER PRIME MEMBERS:

Former drummer Serge is still playing with regional groups in the area such as Fresh Salsa which can be found on facebook and Ian Spyker is working on his solo project 'Neon Moth' which can be found on soundcloud. Former lead guitarist Rob Van Ham went on to lead the project A.C.I.D. and is still playing out as a performer. Former bassist Ian Cox has a healthy son who he is raising in the Charlotte area and co-founder Brae collaborated with Cord on some original electronica material that can also be found on soundcloud. 

Tacoma, WA - The Reaching's name reflects the band's desire to communicate the theme of humanity reaching out for some meaning and purpose. There is a subdued sense of grandeur behind each song that creates a layer of excitement and suspense for the listener.
Their freshman recording "The Fairytale Has Left Us Bleeding" and second project "Seasons" are both available on iTunes, Amazon, Napster, and good old fashioned CD.

Cord, formerly of the award nominated group Feathered Serpent, has been on stages and in studios since his early teens, all across the United States. Schooled by Sam Bennett and Thom Mask of the former Mixing Man Studios and then later mentored by Seattle's Lovecapacitor, Cord's career and style has continued to evolve and progress over the course of countless live shows and several releases.
