Multi-genre producer born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia whose personal motto reads: “keep it simple”, delivers the second track from his forthcoming debut album.

Well known for his EP 'Esoteric', which dropped in summer 2012, the twentysomething has collaborations with rising artists like Sango and Mr. Carmack as well as various remixes of premium talent such as Erykah Badu, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean. With his style ranging from electronic chillwaved dance to spacey yet refined hip-hop LAKIM has a unique sound that seamlessly and effortlessly combines the perfect amount of bass, bounce and vocals, making 'This Is Her' palatable to many.

The album has an overwhelming feminine vibe to it – light and airy, soft and beautiful. As LAKIM draws the soundscape for this project from some inspiring ladies in his life, the sounds come through as traits: calm & collected, sexy & sassy, grounded & driven, loving & unconditional.

We have been keeping in touch with samsin and his music for a minute now, after stumbling upon some of his earlier works, which eventually led to two singles on our Freebie series. 
Considering that he only recently developed an interest for music production in 2015, and eventually started to take the craft seriously at the beginning of 2016, samsin has shown a certain maturity. The summer of 2016 brought more attention from his contemporaries and led to various releases.  Samsin's style always allows you to imagine yourself in another place, and each of his songs reflects a deep insight into the way he thinks about space and textures.
