A diminutive woman in her 7th decade, Laurie is a dynamo of personality and energy living an outsized life as she still works, loves to travel, and when home, playing in our church band as a guitarist and sharing music as a multi-instrumentalist.  She is also a personal hero in how she powered through chemo, invasive surgery, then radiation to arrest the progress of a rare cancer.  She would tell you it was by the Grace of God, but I would quickly add He worked in concert with her faith and "joie de vivre" of which she has an abundance. From 2005 to 2022, over 100,000 child soldiers have been recruited worldwide, as estimated by UNICEF. 
A number that reveals the size of a serious and urgent problem, especially in some countries in Asia and Africa. War, in fact, is a source of enormous suffering for children, both physical and psychological, I believe that this song of mine can represent a small contribution to not forgetting this.

The Oldest Nightmare

Hey… glad you dropped by. Gonna get real cold here, and I have a bit of snow shoveling to finish before the cold snap, so this is a short song. More an exploration of ideas than a song, as I fumble about with music. Maybe the season? Or my age? Or life in general? Or my dreams at night about my life? Whatever it may be, I am certainly wondering about where I am right now, how I got here, what I am doing here, and where I might be headed, if anywhere in particular. Sometimes I catch little glimpses of the essence of all this. I am an old man now. Maybe this comes with the territory? I stumble about through these days, especially if I don’t watch where I am going. I’ve lived through far too many wars, too much collective global hatred and violence, and witnessed outright cruelty. That has made it more difficult to live on this planet, as time passes. I’ve also found myself lost in the beauty of this world, fascinated by everything around me. It is as if time becomes irrelevant, as everything just happens. Everywhere I turn I am amazed and grateful to be alive. I don’t want to miss a thing. We live, we die, we laugh, we cry. Ban'ei racing is a type of horse racing in which racehorses compete for strength and speed while pulling a sled. It is also sometimes called "horse pulling".
Currently, the only publicly managed (local) horse racing in Japan is "Ban'ei horse racing" sponsored by Obihiro City, Hokkaido, and it is the only form of horse racing in the world.
"Ban'ei horses" (heavy breeding horses, also called "banba"), which have been used since ancient times mainly as farm horses and weigh around 800-1200 kg, pull iron sleds carrying jockeys and heavy loads, and compete in strength, speed, endurance, and jockey technique on a separate 200-meter straight course with two obstacles (small trapezoidal hills).

Strangeness

When https://soundcloud.com/dneye asked me for a track to play his fantastic guitars on, I brainstormed this 5/4 piece with odd chord set in order to make it difficult to him and thus get the best from his skills. After programming it, I added some organic solos (yep I played keys) to make it seem more friendly ;))))

And he... succeeded in the challenge, overcoming all my expectations !!!

High Five !! (with D'n'Eye)

I'll finish E-Ruizzo project with a conceptual LP album: 4 songs about 'Arctica Point'. I imagined it amid rotation axis, geographic north and magnetic pole, and I located it on dry land !! Then I draw the cover art.

This opening track tells the decision of leaving this annoying present by travelling to that magical place. The following ones tell the trip and life there.
