My very first mixtape!  Well...at least the first I liked enough to keep!  This mix is a collection of my favorite acid house and early 90s rave tracks I had at the time.

Recorded in 1996 in Portland onto a Maxell UR 120min cassette tape.  

I was definitely still learning how to mix and was experimenting with different mixing styles and tricks, like sampling and scratching, and bringing songs in and out at weird times.

I had to take another pass at this one and shift away from the attempted Brazil fusion and just go deeper into psychic transcendental flow. Amor Satyr is an interesting clash of trance meets beats via Brazilian French, so that's where the original Brazil vibe came from, but it just didn't gel  in the first eclectic round.

PREMIERE: Shunus - Hypatia (Original Mix) [Exotic Refreshment]

I had the absolute honor of playing for my Cascadia NW Art & Music Festival fam this year and all I can say is it was purely magical. I arrived with a badass build crew to erect the entire backdrop for the event and that alone was one of the biggest feats of the week for me. Alongside playing with so many incredible artists and friends that I absolutely adore, this festival grounded me and sent me home buzzing from all of the heady vibes taken in over the span of that week. This is an extended set that was tracked back home in studio with additional songs mixed in that I had a seriously hard time eliminating during the live set. There is a copy of the live recording but I believe it was tracked in mono so I wanted to put something special to commemorate my time out in the woods with my family. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy. This one is truly special to me and will always be held close to my heart. Aho!
