A song with a sound engrained in what I grew up listening to (90/00s punk rock). A song about not losing hope, even though we miss the great times and the glory that once was may have faded, but we must strive to be better, in any way we can. 

Faded Glory

Founder of Timeless Moment, Morttagua operates at the intersection of progressive house and techno. A fixture of Brazil’s electronic music scene, he is the country’s all-time best-selling progressive house artist on Beatport and has toured widely, appearing at festivals such as Kappa FuturFestival and Rock in Rio, alongside venues including Green Valley and Pacha.

His body of work is shaped by atmosphere, melody, and long-form structure. His 2024 release on Balance Music, Bwell, reflects that approach. A measured and restrained cut, it favours mood and melodic progression over immediacy.  

On this Balance Selections mix, Morttagua delivers a focused two-hour set that showcase his experience. Featuring music from Pryda, Andre Sobota, and Mike Griego. It’s a main-room journey that remains controlled and understated throughout.

Eclectic FM Vol. 65 - APLSOZ Guest Mix

Hello to anyone interested in a little about me. I grew up in south wales and spent most of my teenage years listening to bands like Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Pearl Jam and many others. Age 14 I picked up my first guitar and tried my hardest to create any kind of noise that resembled music. After a few months I discovered that by some miracle I had managed to learn a few chords and even a song or two. I had the hunger. After that I began to learn basic blues riffs and songs like "Wonderwall", Oasis and Amazing Grace. I then developed a liking to other styles such as folk and classical music that as a child i shunned as it was the music my parents and grandparents would make me listen to. I then began writing music in 2005. After 7 years of playing other peoples music, I decided it was time to produce "my sound" which i had been working on for quite some time. Although the tracks uploaded have a fairly laid back approach I am heavily influenced by: metal, blues, and plain old r'n'r in allot of my other tracks. I love all music and always will. It is THE most important thing in my life at the moment. Recently I have started to play a lot of folk and I am finding it most interesting, which surprised me. It has opened my mind to a totally different style of guitar playing and I am really enjoying learning the theory and logistics behind it.
