As earlier compilations of 'Danza Meccanica' have taught us, Italy gave birth to a disproportionate number of synth-pop, new wave and electronic acts in the 80s. 

Mannequin goes deeper into the Italian new wave archelogical research with a killer 10 tracks selection of Carmody. Picking their name from a science fiction novel titled "Dimension of Miracles" by Robert Sheckley, Carmody were coming from Torino, as their pairs Monuments and Chromagain. Started as a duo (Alberto Ramella and Andrea Lesmo) and later a trio with Max Casacci joining in  as a guitar player, Carmody recorded from 1981 to 1985 and issued three incredibly rare demo tapes. "Sleep On Mirrors" compiles the best tracks from those tapes, bringing you one of the most peculiar 80's minimal synth music coming out of Italy.

Shake The Disease (summer dance mix)

First version was known as "merely dub". Later I got new samples and the quality was better. The new result is the »innocent dub«. 
Only original sounds were used (some sounds have been changed, but have their origins in the original).

Lie To Me (innocent dub)

My first Enjoy-mix - 20 years ago! 100% original Enjoy-Sounds (except the part with "Sibeling").The deep beginning is made from the harmonies of the chorus (good to hear in the "hands and feet mix"), but one octave or more lower.

Enjoy The Silence (yearning dub)

Remixing a dance version is usually not my way. But "Cover Me" has this potential like "Enjoy The Silence", which wasn't intended as a dance number too. Only Cover-Me-Originalsounds were used! The album version was complemented by samples of the jungle mix and parts of the Berlin live version. Original speed!
