GECKO BAR, based for 10 years on the beach at Bophut and world renowned for playing host to some of house musics most prolific djs and club brands is now relocated to an idyllic mountainside location above Bophut; the second reincarnation of the hillside venue is now fully up and running following a devastating fire in October 2009 that completely destroyed the first one

Nestled amongst the towering palms and jungle canopy with commanding views of Koh Samui and the surrounding ocean GECKO really is one of those venues that once visited will instill in you memories that will endure forever. You WILL tell all of your friends and they WILL want a slice of the pie if they are visiting Koh Samui!!

Kicking off our new Soundcloud page we offer you a smokin' live set by GECKO resident ElectRom recorded live at his monthly residency @ Kangaroo Bar, Koh Phangnan at the Full Moon Party in June of this year. Kangaroo Bar is one of only a handful of KPG Full Moon venues still playing "true" house music and attracts a crowd that want more than is on offer along the length of Haadrin Beach; an uncomplicated party vibe for clued up, discerning party people.

Rom and brother in law Toey (dj T Gecko....mixes from this up and coming young jock coming soon) are renowned for their mammoth 18hr sets. These boys mean business and boy, do they deliver the goods!!

Rom has honed his sound over the past 10 years or so, and plays across the board, taking in the best of deep house, underground and deep tech house grooves to suit each particular event; with a keen ear and passion for his craft, ROM is fast becoming one of Thailands most respected djs (and all round top boy, too)!!

World renowned club, GECKO BAR, probably the most infamous venue in Thailand/SE Asia.
After a 10 year legacy on the beach in Bophut, Koh Samui, GECKO BAR is now perched atop the mountainside in Bohput Hills. Boasting stunning views of the rolling jungle covered hillside and the gulf of Thailand, an infinity pool, great food, fantastic sound system and unrivalled, easy going hospitality this is a truly special place.

GECKO BAR has played host to some of house musics most revered luminaries over the years, djs including (to name but a few) MARSHALL JEFFERSON, CLIVE HENRY, SMOKIN' JO, JO MILLS, GRAEME PARK and DANNY RAMPLING.
Following a tough couple of years that has seen GECKO BAR destroyed by fire in Oct 2009 and then rebuilt we are now back in business and ready to regain our stature, standing, respect and become, once again, a major driving force for international cutting edge music and artists to showcase in Thailand.
