Maryland’s Lauren Symone drives with clear passion and power, smoothly creating notable connections with her audience thanks to a life-long fascination with music and song writing. From performances of Purple Rain at just two years of age, to original recordings as an independent artist, melody and music have always held a deep appeal. 

Symone leads with a contemporary RnB tone, Queen Bee and Chris Brown have been noted as possible influences. However, Symone’s ancestry holds roots in Trinidad and Tobago, a trait that occasionally shows itself amidst her unique vocal style. Dashes of German and Cherokee Indian are also mixed in among her past, all of which helps her sound lean further in the direction of eclecticism and originality. 

Symone’s musical journey to date has been built up of numerous studio appearances and performances to crowds as large as 300,000 to include: Caribbean festivals and Howard University Home-coming games. Her passion for the stage has grown as strong as her passion for singing and song writing, resulting in the well-rounded and confident artist that you see today. 

Despite her clear lust for life in both music and the arts, personal difficulties have also played a part more recently in shaping her thoughts and her style. Having lost her nephew and father within a short time frame, depression and emotional turmoil inevitably set in. However, music is the one thing that never fails to draw a genuine artist back into the waves of the world – her tiny spark grew into an unstoppable fire; one that continues to drive her today. 

Symone has amassed a small but growing audience over the years. Her gratitude for those who follow, and support is unquestionably – another passion that runs throughout her music. Ambition and talent met with hard work and realness, creating one of 2019’s most driven and dedicated Songstress.
