Teun Pranger. In 2010 the, in Nijmegen based, Dutch duo has been
flooding the blogosphere with their remixes and productions.

"Run this World" is Keljet's second Can You Feel It Records release. The track has a unique laidback nu-disco sound with a poppy twist aka the perfect pre-summer sound to hangout with your friends in the park with a nice barbeque and lots of beers.

@Hotlane is a duo from Berlin. Agnes came from Stockholm a few years ago, Tobi has been djing at Berlin partys and clubs since the early 2000s. Regular DJ at #KingsizeBar and gallery happenings but mainly chilling at home, doing music.

"Whenever" is their second single. A smooth, summer, mid tempo song. Based on a guitar line that some of you might recognize... but in this new context this magic riff gets a new dimension. Agnes' sweet voice is floating over the straight house drums. Remixes for this one by magic @JamesCurd, former king of the #GreensKeepers label and über producer from Chicago. Now on #Exploited. 23 years old american upcoming talent LIZZIE PAIGE and London born MONA LAZETTE - who has been working with artist like Catz 'N Dogz and Kele Okereke (Bloc Party) before. The music was all written by Mathias Modica and has been recorded over the last two years in Berlin. There has been little additional help by Ray Mang and Mark Ralph (Daniel Avery, Franz Ferdinand producer) on a few songs.

Continental’s last release, JBAG ‘Everybody (Come On)’ [feat Shindu], is still burning dancefloors that here comes its summery follow-up: the discotastic ‘Fastlane’ by French dons Romuald & Madji’k AKA The Spimes.

Atrue soul man and a gentleman, not far off being a living legend, Romuald has been an ACTIVE singer/songwriter/producer on the Parisian scene for well over a decade, not mentioning several NYC escapades that led him to develop songs for 50 Cent, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson… and heavyweight hitmakers The Clutch. Romuald co-wrote and featured on many projects, from The Paradise’s French Touch classic ‘In Love With You’ with Alan Braxe, to Ernest St Laurent, Mr Gonzo… He even shyly kicked off a solo career in the very early days of Kitsuné.
Madji’k, the musician/composer from down south (Toulouse), is another familiar virtuoso born in Funky Town. After catching the rave bug in the 90s, he STARTED to write tracks and hasn’t stopped producing since, having released singles on Diamond Traxx, 20,000 ST, Fantômas, Nervous, Henry Street, Fogbank, Deeptown, Tallhouse…

The two comperes, under their The Spimes moniker, were first spotted in 2013 when they JOINED forces with Alan Braxe and released the ‘Time Machine’ EP together (which held on the flip rare emotional gem ‘One More Chance’). 
Here they’re at it again with ‘Fastlane’, a brand new addictive disco cut lifted straight outta NY’s Studio 54 and of COURSE led by Romuald’s golden voice and luxurious vocal arrangements (he performs all vocal parts).
In the original version, the pair gets a trusted seal of approval from featured Atlanta rapper Stanza and all falls into place for these two Frenchies forever enamored with America’s urban sounds.

On the remix tip, Continental’s own JBAG deliver the kind of makeover the radio-friendly original was crying out for (and a new bassline), just like back in the days of the Extended Mix. London-based funkerman Get To Know takes a dubbed out boogie path PEPPERED by freestyle guitars. To conclude the EP, France’s latest electronic girl/boy duo Rise & Fool opts for a sexy deep house dish with Gallic toping.

Here’s the second EP of ‘Fastlane’, one of the summer’s party starters courtesy of two pillars of the French scene Romuald & Madji’k AKA The Spimes (R.I.P.).

An unstoppable funky disco thumper in its original version, ‘Fastlane’ turns here into a widescreen FM ballad produced with close collaborator Bastian Belde. Then on the remix front, the ubiquitous Mighty Mouse strips things down tastefully without losing groove, nor punch. London’s White Heat resident Marcus Harris turns out a dubbed out re-interpretation nodding at the 80s’ discerning NYC dancefloors. Lastly Stuttgart’s Final DJs fuse classic house and pumping disco with savoir faire.
