Pirmin Schmid aka „Wide Soul“ was born in 1971 in Switzerland and lives in Bern.

His first experience with the electro music was in 1988. The “ Techno-virus” infected him straight away and still does. After an intensive year practicing in a small backyard room he had is first stage appearance in 1989.

He was known under the name „DJ Yacoothe“ and played for several, partially famous events both nationally and internationally for 18 years .During all these years he was inspired by great artists such as GMS, Perplex, Infected Mushroom, Yahel, Fatali, Atmos, Feuerhake, Goma, Silent sphere and many more. 

In 2007 he began his own production known as Wide Soul.

In 2010 his debut ep ***Helion Angel*** come out on Headstick Digital. During the next few years 
several other releases were done by Audioalchemists, PSR Music, Savva Records and other well-known labels.

During this time Wide Soul played many live-sets and got many people inspired. His amazing talents could be seen at the following well known gigs: Streetparade, Skarabaeus, Thal der Wahl, Psyschmaus im Hexenhaus, The sound of a magical garden, Psychedelic carnival, Radio Bäng Bäng, V.I.R.U.S Festival, V.I.R.U.S Day dance, Stairs Club Zurich and Wooz.
 
During this time he improved his music and found his own musical style. His lush and massive beats are combined with psychodelic and melodious trance elements.
He likes to let other genres flow and try new things. He has great musical diversity due to his steady, growing experience in the musical industry.
His off beat-, groovy- or rolling-base tracks are impulsive. He’s own mixture of beauty and dirty hard and soft.

Pirmin Schmid aka "Wide Soul" ist 1971 in der Schweiz geboren und lebt nun im Kanton Bern. Seine erste Begegnung mit der elektronischen Tanzmusik hatte er bereits 1988. Der "Techno Virus" infizierte ihn direkt und liess ihn bis heute nicht mehr los. Nach einem intensiven Jahr in einem kleinen Hinterzimmer, stand Pirmin das erste mal 1989 auf einer Bühne. Unter dem Namen DJ Yacoothe spielte er in den darauffolgenden 18 Jahren an unzähligen, teilweise auch namhaften Events im In- und Ausland. Während all diesen Jahren liess er sich inspirieren von grossartigen Künstlern wie: GMS, Perplex, Infected Mushroom, Yahel, Fatali, Atmos, Feuerhake, Goma, Silent Sphere und vielen mehr.

2007 begann er mit seinen ersten eigenen Produktionen. Wide Soul war somit geboren. 2010 erschien seine  Debut EP ***Helion Angel*** auf  Headstick Digital. In den folgenden Jahren folgten diverse weitere Release wie bei Audioalchemists, PSR Music, Savva Records und anderen namhaften Labels. Über die Jahre hat er als Wide Soul viele Live-Sets gespielt und damit Menschen in Bewegung versetzt. Zu seinen grössten Gigs gehörten mehrere Auftritte an der Streetparade, Skarabaeus, Thal der Wahl, Psyschmaus im Hexenhaus, The Sound of a Magical Garden,  Psychedelic Carnival, Radio Bäng Bäng, V.I.R.U.S. Festival, V.I.R.U.S. Day Dance, Stairs-Club Zürich, Wooz und viele andere grossartigen Events und Festivals.

Mit der Zeit entwickelte sich seine Musik zu einem ganz eigenen Musik Style.
Seine satten und massiven Bässe kombiniert er mit psychedelischen und melodiösen Trance Elementen. Er lässt oft andere Genres miteinfliessen und probiert gerne Neues aus. Durch den steten Wandel der wachsenden Erfahrung und Weiterentwicklung ist seine musikalische Vielfalt enorm.
Seine Off Beat-, Groovy- oder Rolling- Base- Tracks sind treibend und fliessend, eine ganz eigene Mischung von schön und dirty bis zu zart und hart. 

Musik die Herzen öffnet und zum Tanzen bewegt.






DJ Jurri started playing music the first time in the youthcenter, switching channels on the amplifier between vinyl and tape ;-) cd's just came out then and where 2expensiv 4 a 14year old boy... 10Years later he discovered hard-/house, psy-/goa-&trance/partys@factorys and saw the technics turntables with the possibility for mixing everytime 2 traxs continously after/over each one! 
Suddenly the boring dicotheque-style was death for him, now nobody could stop him anymore and the technoscene had a new inspired soul!! DJ Jurri's age reached then 24; two years later ('94) he had his first set on a party witch was organised with two friends of him. Again 10 years after, mixing with CD's became standart and the players he still could not effort! So he decided to buy the hercules mixconsole with virtualdj+mixvibes! Now Ihe still use it just for mixing at home, on partys he stil love to play+mix with manual cd's usb-sticks and of corse vinyl's!
