A few months ago, out in the middle of the desert working in the oil field i started talking to my mom and this song happened. I want every child along with every adult to understand that loss really hurts but it has not stopped me. My mother wrote great music and I am blessed beyond my belief and by God to have been able to write this record. To angels I solute. I was listening to some Drake during Hurricane Irma.. and I was noticing that he had a lot of tropical sounds and some reggae vibes. This track started out with the drums that had this tropical feel. The guitar came in after. The lyrics are somewhat Ironic.. I'm not actually talking about a party that people have when you have a hurricane... The idea was to give the listeners a picture of an over loaded house getting crunk with the standards at hand..i.e.   liquor, smoke, women, friends, the cars, etc.... all the boastful cliche stuff that we're really not into.. except the women of course. But we did end up having a "hurricane party"

Shout out to DJ Spin for linking Sam and I up. I met sam at the Loyola University recording studio and we vibed. I had made this beat while I was working out in the oilfield while in my work truck in the desert. I never knew weeks later that I would be in recording studio working. I had written most of both verses and Sam came In and started throwing ideas at me. He laid his verse down. The dude is all time for engineering this record too. shout out to the lovely Kati Garnett for modeling

I actually had this record written a couple years back and was so grateful to get it recorded this week. It brought me back to the easy 1950's. I fabricate stories because in a way I've lived through this.

Don't change

We've all been in that situation where you grow up with your best friend who happens to be attracted to you and you to them. You two have a physical attraction to one another and sometimes there is a little more under the surface waiting to come out. It's a fun relatable record with a good hiphop vibes and some soothing pop vocals. Post Malone and G-Eazy type of sound for sure. Push this record for me. I am proud of this one.
