An augmented Jam. Jef on gtr, Karl on bass and John on drums. One room mic. Supplemented with some synth sounds. Lots of noodling as we were simply playing, lots of waffles as a result but there was some magic inbetween the questionable note choices. Reminds me of the kinds of Jams we used to participate in at the studio on Lilly Road. A simpler time of free exploration.

Lilly Road

This composition is based on an underlying improvisation. The piece of music was performed by Jef on Gtr, Karl on bass and John on drums. Recorded to one room mic in mono. Executed linearly as heard with no content edits. It was then embellished with synth and keyboard textures. The Intro section (2 mins) formed the harmonic basis for the remainder of the piece. We had no idea at the time we were writing it... things just happened that way.
