Jeff Blinks is a student at Illinois State University pursuing a B.M. in Music Composition. His teachers include Martha C Horst, Roy Magnuson, Joshua Keeling, Leon Harrel, and Yao Chen.  Additionally, he has had lessons with such composers as Anthony Barfield, Paul Dooley, Lansing McCloskey, and Steve Danyew.

He has had seven works premiered at Illinois State University, in various concerts, at his Junior Composition Recital, and during the Red Note New Music Festival hosted by Illinois State University.

Jeff Blinks is a recipient of the Aurora American Legion Band Scholarship and the Harlen Peithman endowed scholarship for excellence in Music Theory from Illinois State University.
