This meditation on this year's blood moon eclipse employs 5 layers of field recordings, two from this year and three others recorded on this day in the previous years. Enjoy the slow pace and open space. A work in progress., it is.

Composite field recordings modified and mixed with a live sound feed on September 15 reworked somewhat today in Suceava at Residentia de creatie. Thanks to Rustic Camping Spot and Dan Prodan for cooperation and letting me work in and around them. Recordings include VLF captures from Baile Herculane and shortwave radio and turntable.

Recordings from July 28 and 29 reflect the peculiar ambiance of a multitasking bridge over the Danube near Borcea, where the two counties divide. In the darkness the source of the various drones and incidental noises become mysterious because untraceable. Enjoyable because not so loud as to be alarming although sometimes these sounds can be disquieting. This is a work in progress for an album I hope to complete during my residency here in Suceava. I've begun a series of sono-meditations on the theme of reification. Some are wordless. Others contain verbality. Always carried forward by something else that remains repressed in the shadows. This is Reification 1015. Work's in progress.  Listening to Milford Graves raps recently about arryhthmia I been using this concept as a criterion for how we might make a pause between music and sound to listen on the border. Another question comes to mind: is there any escape from music? Despite having attempted a jailbreak from regularity in pulse, haven't I just created an irregular regularity? Deflating somewhat the windbag of aesthetics and keeping with the flow of action.
