The ghost isn’t dead.
It’s unfinished.

Every mile Mayzon Jard drives, it rides shotgun—
headlights flickering through memory,
dust trails spelling out the names of roads he never escaped.

This ghost is every version of him that didn’t make it out clean.
The nights he chose responsibility over relief.
The dreams he buried so others could keep theirs.

Backroads don’t forget.
They loop.

In this chapter, Mayzon stops pretending the past is behind him.
The ghost doesn’t chase him—it guides him.
A warning. A witness. A reminder of what survival cost.

By the end, the engine keeps running,
but the rearview mirror finally tells the truth:

You can’t outrun what made you.
You can only drive forward with it.

My Own Worst Enemy

Hello, I am Jeff Lien, Guitar player for the bands Next 2 Nothing, 7 Sins, And Defuze (my original band).  Over the years I have written a lot of songs that, for the most part, have just been sitting on the shelve, so to speak.  So, now that with my time, band wise, is a little freed up I thought I'd start recording and uploading these old and new songs.  Most are songs that I 100% wrote myself.  Others are collaborated with others.  Some will have "guest" singers.  Others i will be singing (No, I do not claim to be a singer lol)  You'll notice that my style of writing is all over the place.  I am pretty much all Rock in my heart, but I do have other elements too so bear with me.  lol.  Thanks for listening!!!
