* The tempo is 88 BPM with a 12/8 feel.
* The Lecher is one of the oldest songs in the Wud Records pantheon of awesome music.
* The Lecher was composed by Pok in the music rooms at The King's Grammar School, Ottery St Mary in the spring of 1982.
* This song was included in the repertoire of Achilles Heel.
* The Lecher is, in essence, a truly great riff enhanced by some jamming.
* Pok plays all of the guitar parts on Betty the Bastard, a Tokai SG with a mean streak.
* We invite the listener to listen out for the place where Pok doesn't play any notes at all and just makes some delightfully lecherish scratchy noises on the strings.
* The Lecher was the first song that was finished for Pok's Anthology album.
* It is no longer certain which ‘lecher’ in particular this song was about.
* It was for certain one or more of the teachers at the aforementioned King’s Grammar School.
