Founded in New York City in 2012, Side Car is the electro funk songwriting, production duo of dapper gentlemen Zach Lucas and Aaron Smith, a couple of guys who don’t take life too seriously, but believe crafting good music is a serious art form. With influences from Rick James to Miles Davis, there new single “Rudy” is a sure summertime, feel good hit!! Take the best elements of late 70s and early 80s funk, stir in a dash of new wave and 80s RnB, sprinkle in some 90s West Coast Rap, then mix with modern electro production to taste, and ground it all in solid song-craft. Serve shaken or stirred.
